We all make mistakes.

In fact, if we’re being honest with ourselves, we make them all the time. Sometimes, our mistakes are small and can be fixed relatively easily. Other times, our mistakes can have far-reaching and long-lasting consequences. Regardless of the severity of our mistakes, one thing is always true: We can always count on God to forgive us for them.

Mistakes are a part of life. We all make them, and we all learn from them. The Lord doesn’t expect us to be perfect. He expects us to be truthful. He doesn’t want us to lie to others or try to cover up our mistakes. When we sin and make a mistake, we need to own up to it, apologize, and change our ways.

If your conscience is weighing you down, these following bible verses will show you how you can make up for your mistakes and find forgiveness in God:

Romans 3:23 NIV

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

For though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again,
but the wicked stumble when calamity strikes.
