Fears are crippling. They hinder us from living the life that God gave to us in Jesus Christ.

If we want to live the life of purpose and abundance in Christ, we need to let go of all our fears. Moreover, we need to be bold and courageous enough to face our fears.

The thought of facing our fears might not appeal to many, but in Christ we are able to do it. The word of God assures us that there’s nothing to fear, except God Himself. He is good and His love allows us to live only in the fear of Him.

And when we fear nothing but Him, we are enabled to live life in total freedom.

To help you face your fears, here are a few Bible verses that will teach you how to do that.

1 John 4:17-19

“Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. We love Him because He first loved us.”

Joshua 1:9

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

Psalm 118:6-9

“The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me? The Lord is for me among those who help me; Therefore I shall see my desire on those who hate me. It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in princes.”

John 14:26-28

“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. You have heard Me say to you, ‘I am going away and coming back to you.’ If you loved Me, you would rejoice because I said, ‘I am going to the Father,’ for My Father is greater than I.”

2 Timothy 1:7

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
