It’s not always easy to figure out who you are. You might look to your friends and family for guidance, but sometimes they can’t help you find the answer. You might feel lost and alone, but there is hope. With the help of God, you can eventually find your true self.

When you turn to the Lord, He will help you figure out who you are meant to be. He will show you the path that you are supposed to take and give you the clarity you seek whenever you are confused. He will be with you every step of the way no matter how tangled the path is.

If you’re in doubt, let these bible verses guide you. Finding your identity is a journey, but it is one that is worth taking. It might not be easy, but it will be worth it in the end, especially with the comfort of knowing that God has a great plan for you.

Galatians 2:20 NIV

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Jeremiah 29:11 NIV

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Ephesians 2:10 NIV

1 Corinthians 12:27 NIV

1 John 3:1-3 NIV

See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. All who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure.

Colossians 3:1-4 NIV

Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

Galatians 3:27-29 NIV

For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Ephesians 4:22-24 NIV

You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

John 15:5 NIV

I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

Galatians 3:26 NIV

So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith.
