Zac Poonen

Zac Poonen ( - Present)

God called brother Zac Poonen to a new work early on in his Christian experience. The movement is now called Christian Fellowship Churches where the New Covenant of New Testament Christianity is clearly preached.

Brother Zac Poonen has written 25 books most of them being on the deeper Christian life. Many of these have been translated into a number of languages and have been circulated widely around the world. He clearly and passionately shares the narrow way of Christian discipleship that is neglected by so many modern preachers.

Recommends these books by Zac Poonen:
Through The Bible by Zac Poonen
The Final Triumph-A verse by verse study of the book of Revelation by Zac Poonen
Beauty for Ashes by Zac Poonen

Spirituality is not something that comes through one encounter with God. It is the result of choosing the way of self denial and doing God's will consistently day after day, week after week and year after year.

Ephesians 4:26 says "be angry but do not sin". How to know the difference ? We can know the difference from the life of Jesus. When they insulted Him, spoke evil of Him, beat Him, spatted on Him, crucified Him.. He was not angry. He was never angry when it concerned Himself . He was angry when God's house was being defiled ..when poor people were being exploited, when the Pharisees and the elders would not allow the man with a withered hand to be healed on the sabbath day.. So, in anything concerning ourselves we should never be angry but when it concern the purity of God's house and the way people exploits others then we need to be angry. There is an anger that is holy and there is an anger that is sinful.

God gave us material things to bless others. Earthly things have their maximum value only when they are used to bless and help others and not when they are used merely for ourselves and our families.

It is impossible to live the Christian life as we should, without being filled with the Holy Spirit . It is impossible to serve the Lord as we should, without being filled with the Holy Spirit.

Like the rock that was smitten, we too need to be broken, before the rivers of blessing can flow out through us to others. The opposition of men and their false accusations serve to keep us broken before God.

Many are called, few are chosen, but fewer still are faithful. These are the overcomers spoken of ten times in the book of Revelation. They are disciples of Jesus who have not only been accepted by God but who have been tested by Him through many circumstances and who have been approved by Him.

God must be the very first thought and the very last thought in the life of every disciple of Jesus. God must be the centre as well as the circumference of our lives. We live and move in Him, within the circle that He has drawn for us. And within that circle we will always find Him (Acts 17:26,27).

Consider the matter of suffering. Why does a God of love allow us to go through suffering? That's because suffering is a part of the syllabus in our spiritual education.

Jesus once said that Satan was a thief. Satan does not steal money, for he knows that money has no eternal value. He steals only what has eternal value - primarily the souls of men.
