Also known as the East Syrian, Assyrian, or Persian Rite, the liturgy used by the Uniat East Syrians and Nestorians. The language is old Syriac. There are three Anaphoras (Canons) used: the first, called that of the Apostles (Saints Addeus and Maris), is the normal one; the other two, that of Nestorius and that of Theodore the Interpreter, are used only on occasions. The same pro-anaphoral part is used for all three. The Chaldean Uniats are communicated with a host dipped in the chalice.
