Choisseul (Stainwille), Leopold Charles De a French prelate, was born at the castle of Luneville, December 6, 1724. He was made bishop of Evreux in 1758, archbishop of Alby in 1759, and of Cambray in 1764, and died in 1781, leaving Statuts Synodaux duz Diocese d'Alby (1763, 8vo). See Hoefer, Nouv. Biog. John McClintock was born October 27, 1814 in Philadelphia to Irish immigrants, John and Martha McClintock. He began as a clerk in his father's store, and then became a bookkeeper in the Methodist Book Concern in New York. Here he converted to Methodism and considered joining the ministry.
