Ochiltree, Michael a Scotch prelate, was dean of the Church of Dunblane in 1425, and was made bishop in 1430. He was bishop at Dunblane in 1439 when he appended his seal to a solemn agreement between the queen-dowager and a committee of parliament, about the keeping of the young king, James II. John McClintock was born October 27, 1814 in Philadelphia to Irish immigrants, John and Martha McClintock. He began as a clerk in his father's store, and then became a bookkeeper in the Methodist Book Concern in New York. Here he converted to Methodism and considered joining the ministry.
