This sermon explores the healings that Jesus did at Gennesaret right after He walked on the water. Jesus is certainly the Son of God because Jesus can do only what God can do (power over death, disease, devil/demons, and even the weather). Because Jesus is God we should:

1. Have an ongoing EXCITEMENT/Enthusiasm for Jesus (seen in the crowds running to tell others about His arrival).
2. Have a total DEPENDENCE on Jesus (seen in them carrying and bringing all who had infirmities to Jesus).
3. Have total FAITH in Jesus (as we see that those who implored Jesus and just touched the edge of His garment were CURED!).

We concluded the sermon by looking at the importance and reasoning behind Jesus' miracles: The Reason for Jesus’ Miracles:

1. God’s Compassion/Love for people and their infirmities/problems (Matthew 20:34, Mark 1:41).
2. God’s Confirmation/Evidence of the Messiah, who is Jesus (John 4:48, Acts 2:22).
3. God’s Foreshadowing/Expectations of the Kingdom – what it will be like (Is. 25:8, Rev. 21:4) (no more disease, deprivation, demons/devil, disasters, and depravity/death for glorified saints).
4. God’s mission to Destroy the works of the devil/cleanse the world of sin (1 John 3:8). 5. God’s Demonstration of His absolute sovereignty (John 10:38, 1 Timothy 6:15, Luke 1:37).
