The Defeat of Death in Paul's Resurrection Thesis takes us back to his original premise that Christ died for our sins. It forms an inclusio for the entirety of the chapter. It's as though Paul has played a musical scale beginning with the root and ending on the octave, sin death from the beginning and sin death in the end. His background text is Hosea 13:14 and the restoration, i.e. resurrection of Israel.

Does "establish the law" mean that the law is to be kept today? Several groups have defined themselves by the law and are imposing it on others. 
 
Some of the confusion centers around what does Paul mean by we establish the law." If we take the text out of context or miss what Paul is discussing, the net result is an idea which is foreign to the text.

Israel Only Have I Known. Was YHWH making a statement about Israel's exclusivity or was he pointing out their greater responsibility for sins and transgressions that far exceeded that of other nations which he also judged? 
 
Was Israel the only nation called to account for their transgressions? Or were they more guilty for transgressing against YHWH beyond that of the other nations?
