We are now 2000 years after the advent of the Church and the 12 disciples of Jesus Christ who obeyed His command to spread the Good News to the world. How this Church spread from then to now 2000 years later to almost every nation and people group in the earth happened through growth and multiplication. And this growth usually came through martyrdom and great suffering, the Gospel must be shared to spread and must be lived. The work will never be accomplished apart from great effort and desire. God is desiring quality but also desires that the Church of God spreads, grows and its truth is shared with many. So radical discipleship will always look towards others, God's call will always be in the end towards others. Our holiness and sanctification will end in living for others and not ourselves. Let us believe again for an apostolic move of God where the Church grows greatly in our nations. This is an excerpt from the upcoming Principles Book ebook: Is our Christianity in non-persecuted nations cold, hot, or luke-warm? If you say you are “hot” are you witnessing every day and every opportunity? Those in persecuted countries risk their lives to share the wonderful news of Jesus. Why are we not sharing the Good News every day, every opportunity? The Gospel of Jesus Christ since its inception in AD 33 has never been but explosive in its growth when it has been proclaimed by Spirit filled, Christ centered and totally committed Christians. Such Christians were not hindered by the traditions and religious ideas of men. the simple message of the Son of God crucified and resurrected for the sins of mankind has impacted millions of lives to surrender all their rights and life to God and receive forgiveness of sins. We see in the book of Acts several accounts of this explosive growth: “Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand”550 “And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women”551 “And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith”552 Some estimate that between Acts chapter 2 and Acts 6 the growth of the church was from 120 to upwards of 25,000 believers in this short duration of time! ----- Footnotes: 550 Acts 4:4 551 Acts 5:14 552 Acts 6:7
