When our hopes crush, & dreams collapse, the resurrection of Jesus is designed to relieve and to bring hope to us. Jesus said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you," {Heb 13:5. he said to his disciples, "I will not leave you as orphans, I will not abandon you," When D. L. Moody, the great evangelist, was dying, his last words were, "Earth is receding, heaven is approaching; this is my crowning day."Paul says, "The sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that shall be revealed in us," {Rom 8:18)When Jesus comes to our heart, something amazing happens; The holy spirit take a risen Lord's life and give it to us, to empower us, to encourage us, to strengthen us. Our spirit is immediately transformed & given new life, the eternal life of God. The Holy Spirit then takes up residence in our heart. Our old habits & thought patterns must be changed before Jesus’ character can be exhibited through us. Developing Christ like character or transforming our mind is vital to experience the fullness of our commitment to God. Romans 12:2 says, “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” The more we align our thoughts & actions with God’s Word, the more our character will conform to His.
