As we meet here today the Intergovernmental Conference on the new European Union and how it is going to be governed is in session in the City of Rome. Even all the European wars did not attempt to wipe out the Reformation in the way which this scheme has set out to do. The proposals for a new Europe are well on their way to endorsement. They will destroy every vestige of the Reformation in Europe. They will rob from European citizens their liberties, which flowed from the Reformation blessings. Nations which fought hard and long and at tremendous sacrifice, are going to be swallowed up in the climax development of the final world empire. It has been claimed that it will be the finest hour for the Great European Empire of Charlemagne but rather it will be its darkest hour. Democracy and liberty will perish and Anarchy and bondage will take its place. And alas because of the obstinacy of Mr Blair the UK will have no referendum on the matter. (Mr Blair knows he would be beaten, so no democracy for the United Kingdom!) Mr Blair is a fascist when it comes to putting off elections and denying referendums. The proposal can be summarised thus:- THE EUROPEAN KINGDOM OF THE ANTICHRIST This month, in Rome, the Inter-Governmental Conference on the EU Constitution convenes. Governments are being pressed to complete their work and close the Conference by December of this year. The goal is to have the new Constituted signed by all 25-member states of the enlarged Union on Europe Day – 9 May, 2004. This new, single Treaty will surpass every past treaty from Rome to Nice. Its main proposals will include: A PRESIDENT OF EUROPE The Chair of the European Council A MINISTER FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS Who will sit on the Commission but be answerable to the Council of Ministers A SLIMMED DOWN EUROPEAN COMMISSION 15 commissioners with a vote and 15 associate commissioners in place by 2009 – with no votes! A CHARTER OF FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS Part 2 of the Treaty A SCRUTINY ROLE FOR NATIONAL PARLIAMENTS Commission proposals scrutinised from the start of their course and if one-third are against the Commission must justify and review yet without obligation to actually alter their proposals. THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT WILL HAVE A ROLE IN ELECTING THE PRESIDENT OF THE COMMISSION BUT THAT ROLE IS NOT YET DECIDED UPON. The Constitution will surpass national law. The UK Government does not have a mandate to agree such sweeping developments. What the Prime Minister and his Foreign Minister describe as being “good for Britain and good for Europe” is in fact a ‘duty of loyalty’ to the EU. There will be no separation of powers between the executive, legislative and judicial functions. These will all overlap. This is in complete contrast to all genuine democratic arrangements as we know them. Indeed, power will be more centralised within the Commission which, we should not forget, still meets in secret. The real power will remain in the hands of those we do not elect and whom we cannot remove. To leave the Union, the member states must vote by majority to allow a country to leave. So, the UK for e.g., as one of the biggest money ponders is very unlikely ever to be granted permission out, if it so wished. The EU itself is not a democracy, even if its member states are. It has always been a bureaucratic organisation, albeit with the ornaments of democracy. Instead of dealing with its democratic shortfall, the Constitution will strengthen that shortfall and the democratic deficit will become greater. Enlargement of the Union has prompted the matter of a Constitution to ensure control by the Commission of what is becoming an unwieldy Union. We must demand a Referendum on this vital proposal. The people, not the politicians must have the final word. TWO: THE DEVELOPING APOSTASY FROM THE TRUTH OF THE BIBLE AND THE SPREAD OF THE DOCTRINE OF DEVILS The deepening of Apostasy from the Apostolic Faith and the waves of the tide of more and more blasphemous wickedness is delivered on every hand. We wonder what next will creep out of the gratings of hell to poison the souls of men. We should refresh our memories of the O.T. Prophetic Scriptures as the faithful prophets of God sought to cry out loud and spare not, and of the multiplicity of damnable wickedness’s which profound the once holy places. The rottenness of the ecumenical Churches was brought out into the public over the election of a Gay Anglican Bishop in England (though professing not to practise) and the election and ordination of a practising Anglican Gay Bishop in USA. If ever the hellish darkness of the Apostate Church was exposed, it was exposed! We had the defence of devilish perversion hailed as actually a fruit from God and every effort to make hell’s evil good and heaven’s good evil. The Evangelicals of the Church of England have met in their Assembly. Perhaps the Anglican Church’s evangelicals were never seen in a clearer light. Compromise practiced for years becomes base surrender. The emphasises is certainly on the fact. Truth has surely fallen on the street and equity cannot enter. To fellowship with apostates takes away the power to make any effectual protest against apostasy. British Church Newspaper 3/10/03 Anglican Congress Leaves Evangelicals In Total Disarray On Friday 19 September, the Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Rowan Williams, greeted some 2,300 people at the opening session of the fourth National Evangelical Anglican Congress (NEAC4) in Blackpool Winter Gardens. The Ven Dr Paul Gardner, Archdeacon of Exeter, introduced the Archbishop with the words: “We hope that this congress will help us be much clearer in our understanding that we are part of the Anglican Communion worldwide”. This was seen as a dig at those who have boycotted the Congress in protest against the invitation to Rowan Williams. The Archbishop was then greeted with enthusiastic applause from the whole Congress even before he appeared on the stage. In reply Williams wisely confined himself to humorous remarks and safe platitudes. Dr Gardner drew attention to Dr John Stott, now 82, as the man to whom we are all indebted and at whose theological feet we all sit, or so he said. ‘Our brother in Christ’ The opening address was delivered by the evangelical Bishop Jones of Liverpool who greeted Archbishop Williams as “Our brother in Christ”. Jones prayed that, “through your ministry He will bless the whole church”. This to an ultra-liberal Archbishop who derides whole swathes of Scripture and approves of clergy in a sodomite relationship! NEACI was held at Keele in 1967, NEAC2 at Nottingham in 1977, NEAC3 at Caister in 1987. The congresses have promoted the Stott Packer line that Anglican Evangelicals must remain within the Church of England at any cost. Professors Wenham and McGrath Dr Gordon Wenham, Professor Old Testament studies at Cheltenham and Gloucester College of Higher Education, said that the liberal acceptance of homosexuals in the Anglican Church was merely ancient paganism in another guise. Other examples he cited were ‘religious pluralism, abolition of Sunday as universal rest day, abortion, cremation, easy divorce’. The Rev Professor Alistair McGrath, Principal of Wycliffe Hall, reported that the proportion of evangelical ordinands in Church of England theological colleges has now exceeded 70% for the first time. (This requires a very broad definition of evangelicalism). McGrath ripped into Canadian Bishop Michael Ingham, who has approved homosexual blessings, saying that “Ingham should be awarded the Spong medal for liberal bravery in the face of overwhelming theological arguments”. Archbishop of York The Archbishop of York, Dr David Hope, who had described his own sexuality as “a grey area”, hit back fiercely at the assembled evangelicals. Political infighting over homosexuality, he said, is “eating the heart out” of the Church of England. His address has been described as banging the heads of the Evangelicals together. He spoke after the Rev David Holloway, Vicar of Jesmond, Newcastle, told a seminar that homosexuals should be punished: “Homosexuality is so clearly a scriptural issue. Sexual activity outside marriage is sinful and homosexual practice is especially condemned. Modern Jezebels have to be disciplined.” Fulcrum meets in the bar A new grouping for “open” evangelicals disillusioned by last year’s avalanche of criticism of the new Archbishop of Canterbury was launched on the eve of the Congress to the dismay of the organisers of the Congress who believe it undermined their attempts to build evangelical unity. It is called Fulcrum. Fulcrum represents the self-styled “open evangelical leaders”. They are more tolerant of homosexuality, hold looser views of the inspiration of Scripture and say nice things about Rowan Williams. Fulcrum’s sponsors include key evangelical leaders such as Dr Francis Bridger, the principal of Trinity Theological College in Bristol and Tim Dakin head of Church Mission Society. Their website sets out a range of principles and strategies based on what they described as “generous orthodoxy”. Meeting nightly in a bar near the Blackpool conference centre, one Fulcrum leader estimated that they had signed up about five per cent of the Congress. Dr Francis Bridger admitted that Fulcrum was partly a reaction to the chorus of criticism of the Archbishop of Canterbury by Reform and Church Society. (No doubt Fulcrum’s leaders will be rewarded with bishoprics.) ‘Conservatives’, ‘opens’ and ‘charismatics’ The impression we gain from NEAC4 is of a very broad, incoherent evangelicalism moving to a position of dominance among the theological students and the laity and finances of the Church of England but far from the levers of power and trusting to numbers rather than clear convictions to carry it to victory. Power remains in the hands of an Anglo Catholic – Liberal Alliance who regards the Evangelicals simply as useful idiots and make no secret of it. It will take something stronger than the present mish mash of ‘conservative’ evangelicals, ‘open’ evangelicals and ‘charismatic’ evangelicals to dislodge them. (Sources include ACNS and Virtuosity) Evangelicals! The emphasis is certainly on the jelly. No back bone! THREE: THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE ANTICHRIST SYSTEM AND FALSE CHURCH AS SEEN IN THE LITTLE HORN ON DANIEL 7:8 Those who drew up the Doctrinal Confessions and Creedal Statements of the Protestant Churches at the Reformation all declared where they stood in their understanding of the scriptures in its teaching and exposure of the Church of the Antichrist the Papal Church. They gave one united witness against Rome and the identity of the Antichrist. The testimony of the Historic Christian Faith and the testimony of martyred Reformation Church is crystal clear. Anglican, Church of England “Transubstantiation (or the change of the substance of Bread and Wine) in the Supper of the Lord, cannot be proved by Holy Writ, but is repugnant to the plain words of Scripture, overthroweth the nature of a Sacrament, and hath given occasion to many superstitions.” “The offering of Christ once made is that perfect redemption, propitiation, and satisfaction, for all the sins of the whole world, both original and actual; and there is none other satisfaction for sin, but that alone. Wherefore the sacrifice of Masses, in the which it was commonly said, that the Priest did offer Christ for the quick and the dead, to have remission of pain or guilt, were blasphemous fables and dangerous deceits.” Presbyterian “There is no other head of the church but the Lord Jesus Christ: nor can the Pope of Rome in any sense be head thereof; but is that antichrist, that man of sin, and son of perdition, that exalteth himself in the church against Christ, and all that is called God.” Of the Lord’s Supper “In this sacrament Christ is not offered up to his Father, nor any real sacrifice made at all for remission of sins of the quick or dead; but only a commemoration of that one offering up of himself, by himself, upon the cross, once for all, and a spiritual oblation of all possible praise unto God for the same, so that the Popish sacrifice of the mass, as they call it, is most abominably injurious to Christ’s one only sacrifice, the alone propitiation for all the sins of the elect.” Methodist John Wesley’s comment on the term ‘man of sin’ in II Thessalonians 2:3. “However, in many respects, the Pope has an indisputable claim to those titles. He is, in an emphatical sense, the man of sin, as he increases all manner of sin above measure. And he is, too, properly styled, the son of perdition, as he has caused the death of numberless souls, and will himself perish everlastingly. He it is that opposeth himself to the emperor, once his rightful sovereign; and that exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped. Commanding angels, and putting kings under his feet, both of whom are called gods in scripture; claiming the highest power, the highest honour; suffering himself, not once only, to be styled God or vice-God. Indeed no less is implied in his ordinary title, ‘Most Holy Lord’, or, ‘Most Holy Father’, so that he sitteth enthroned in the temple of God. Mentioned Rev 11:1. Declaring himself that he is God – claiming the prerogatives which belong to God alone.” “The offering of Christ, once made, is that perfect redemption, propitiation, and satisfaction for all the sins of the whole world, both original and actual; and there is none other satisfaction for sin but that alone. Wherefore the sacrifice of masses, in the which it is commonly said that the priest doth offer Christ for the quick and the dead, to have remission of pain or guilt, is a blasphemous fable and a dangerous deceit.” Baptist “The Lord Jesus Christ is the head of the Church, in whom by the appointment of the Father, all power for the calling, institution, order, or government of the Church is invested in a supreme and sovereign manner; neither can the Pope of Rome, in any sense, be head thereof, but is no other than Antichrist, that man of sin and son of perdition, that exalteth himself in the Church against Christ, and all that is called God: whom the Lord shall destroy with the brightness of His coming.” Congregational “There is no other head of the church but the Lord Jesus Christ; nor can the Pope of Rome in any sense be head thereof; but it (he) is that Antichrist, that man of sin and son of perdition that exalteth himself in the Church against Christ, and all that is called God, whom the Lord shall destroy with the brightness of His coming.” Rome today keeps referring to Vatican Council II. One would think that in that Council Rome changed. Nothing could be further from the truth. ROME DOES NOT CHANGE Uninformed people conditioned by the ecumenical double talk of the Church Unity advocates, have come to believe that Rome is changing. This is proclaimed continually from the platforms of the World Council of Churches. Evidently their strategy is that if they repeat this lie over and over again, unwary, ill-taught and unthinking Protestants will believe it. Alas, many have fallen poor dupes to this pernicious propaganda. The leaders of the Roman Catholic Church have, however, made no secret of the fact that their Church will not change, and that union will be on their terms and on their terms only. Preaching at a service in St. Aidan’s Methodist Church, Eastbourne, on Sunday evening, 29th January, 1967, the Roman Catholic Apostolic Delegate to Great Britain, Archbishop Igino Cardinale told a congregation of Roman Catholics, Anglicans and Methodists that it was no secret that the Roman Catholic Church claimed to be the ONE TRUE CHURCH and envisaged reunion ONLY AS TAKING PLACE WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF ITS OWN COMMUNION! Cardinal Heenan, Archbishop of Westminster, declared: “Ecumenism does not mean pretending that all denominations are equally true; it does not mean that the Catholic Church has nothing more than other churches. The ultimate object of ecumenism is to unite all Christians under the Vicar of Christ – the Pope.” Cardinal Bea, sometime head of the Vatican Secretariat for Christian Unity states:- “No Catholic of education will believe that the (Vatican) Council can or would change even a single dogma. The Supreme Pontiff and the Council have a duty, inherent in their ecclesiastical authority, to preserve whole and entire the doctrine passed to them by tradition, and no love for the separated brethren can induce us to lay even the lightest hand on the sacred deposit of the faith.” The Roman Catholic Bishop of Clifton, on his return from the final session of the Vatican Council states, that the Church of Rome had not changed its doctrine ‘one iota’. The aim and object of the Church of Rome is the conversion of Britain to Roman Catholicism. The same bishop has declared that “our aim is the conversion of every man, woman and child in England to the Roman Catholic religion, and we must fulfil our charter.” In a detailed analysis of the ecumenical council’s lasting effects, Pope Paul VI said, “its teachings have brought about no liberation or break from the church’s traditional dogmas, but rather their confirmation and development.” The Pope, Paul VI, addressing a general audience on the opening day of a week of world-wide prayer for unity candidly acknowledged the difficulties posed by the supreme role which Roman Catholic doctrine gives the Pope. He quietly reiterated that he was the authentic representative of Christ on earth! “But,” continues the Pope with reference to unity, “it must not take place at the cost of the integrity of the Catholic faith and of our Church discipline, nor must it be guided by an easy criticism of our own things and by an equally easy willingness to copy other people’s things, good and respectable as they may be.” Pope John Paul II has put the machinery of Rome into over-drive to reinstate the most abominable dogmas and practices of the Roman Anti-Christianity.
