Beuttler was born in Germany in 1904. He immigrated to the U.S. in 1925. In 1931 he graduated from Central Bible Institute. He served on the faculty at Eastern Bible Institute from 1939-1972. During a campus revival in 1951, God called Beuttler to “go teach all nations,” and for 22 years he travelled around the world ministering the word of God. He retired in Shaverton, PA with his wife Elizabeth. There he continued his ministry until he went to be with the Lord in 1974.

"Spiritual hunger presupposes a spiritual capacity. Such hunger originates with God (John 6:44). This hunger is, in fact, God Himself hungering for Himself through our spirit on our behalf. It is the call of God for the truth for which we hunger and is at the same time a divine guarantee of its satisfaction when this hunger is not diverted into other channels and thereby destroyed. “Blessed are they that hunger—for they shall be filled.” The earnest seeker after the God of the Word as well as the word of God, can expect to find in these notes “treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places” (Isa. 45:3)."

An Eye for the Spirit

“And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you forever: even the Spirit of Truth: whom the world cannot receive, because it sees Him not, neither knows Him: but you know Him; for He dwells with you, and shall be in you.” John 14:16-17 As I told you t... Apostolic Principles

These studies have been given for many years on the mission fields all over the world. The method employed is that of interrogative analysis which brings the truth within easier reach of many educationally disadvantaged ministers and facilitates interpretation, especially since good interpreters are... Building a Foundation for Our Spiritual Life Experience

I want to read from Luke, something that the Lord is working in me for you. “Whosoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings, and does them, I will show you to whom he is like; He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock; and when the flood arose, the stream... Burdens into a Song

Habakkuk is the only book in the Bible that begins with a burden and ends with a song. In between these two extremes, we have God’s way of turning our burdens into a song. “The burden which Habakkuk the prophet did see... To the chief singer on my stringed instruments.” Habakkuk 1:1, 3:19 In the beg... Read More

Call for True Laborers

Then I go to West Africa at the Bible school, with students and national pastors. In Ivory Coast in Abidjan, they will rent the Convention Hall for ... Read More

Coming out of the Wilderness - Part 4

We are about to get out of the wilderness, but we will stay there a little longer, and then we will come out. This study on the ways of the Lord is based on Moses’ remarkable prayer, “Show me now Your ways that I may know You.” Two years ago when I was with you, we were talking about, “That I might ... Divine Guidance

“O Lord, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walks to direct his steps.” Jeremiah 10:23 Jeremiah knew the Lord, yet felt utterly dependent upon Him. The Lord’s approval is with those who are dependent upon Him, who seek counsel from the mouth of the Lord. Because of o... Read More

Esther, The Power of Divine Providence

I have received help and encouragement from this amazing book about the “power of God’s providence.” The Book of Esther is amazing in a number of respects. One of them is that the name of God is not mentioned once. At the same time, the book is saturated with God. This also suggests to us that even ... Read More

Four Ways to Lose the Lord's Presence

“And it came to pass afterward, that he loved a woman in the valley of Sorek, whose name was Delilah. And the lords of the Philistines came up to her, and said to her, Entice him, and see wherein his great strength lies, and by what means we may prevail against him, that we may bind him to afflict h... God Sent Laborers

“After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before His face into every city and place, where He himself would come.” Luke 10:1 He sent them into “every city and place, where He himself would come.” In a sense, missionaries are the Lord’s forerunners. God's Way to Revival

Although the term revival is not found in the Bible as such, the experience is there and so is the idea. This concept is also found in an impressive variety of more or less synonymous expressions employed in prayer and promise. “Will You not revive us again?” Psalms 85:6; “Lord, revive Your work in ... Knowing the Spirit

This morning the Lord awakened me at 4:00 o’clock with His presence. You know, it’s remarkable how the Lord works with His presence. Some of you that have been with me now, and on some occasions, I with you, you’ll recall how much I speak about the presence of the Lord. The presence of the Lord is a... Read More

Manifest Presence of God - Part 1

Several years ago, the Lord asked me to shut myself in with Him. I found a place where I could be totally alone with the Lord, in fasting and prayer. Sunday afternoon, I realized that I had spent 48 hours in prayer, fasting, and seeking the Lord, with no results. I had neither felt nor received anyt... Read More

Manifest Presence of God - Part 10

Those who “set apart” quality time to seek the Lord and in anticipation, “wait” in His presence, will be given “revelations” and “openings” in the Word, and may be blessed with “movings” and “manifestations” of the Holy Spirit. “The secret of the Lord is with them that fear Him; and He will show the...
