They say that the family is the basic unit of society, which means if the family is strong, then the society and nation will also be strong. In order to achieve this in our society, Christian men are instructed in the Bible to love their wives. However, this is not just any love.
In Ephesians, the Apostle Paul compared Christ’s love for the church, to that of a husband to his wife. If the Lord is able to sacrifice Himself for the church, a husband should do it as well for his wife. Loving your wife is not just working, or giving physical attention.
To love is to give everything you are, and you have, to that person. For a husband, the wife is his utmost priority over anything and anyone. What verses in the Bible talk about how husbands should love their wives?
