Nowhere in Scripture does it say that anyone who wants to follow Christ would have a life free from problems and worries. Even Jesus suffered at the hands of his enemies, which means those who decide to follow Him should be ready to face trials and tribulations as well.

According to James, trials and tribulations have their purpose in the life of a believer. It is not to inflict pain and suffering but teach us to be more patient and trust God’s plan in our lives. Experiencing problems in this world is normal, but the good thing is we have a God we can rely on.

The Bible teaches that in the midst of these trials, a Christian should not forget to look up and see where his help would come from. The Holy Spirit, who is our Helper, would guide us into dealing with such issues, allowing us to grow in our faith.
