Not Just Being Optimistic

Giving Tuesday - The Church Intensive

When we come together as a family and abide in God’s love, something special happens. The by-product of this beautiful experience should be an earnest desire to stay and keep coming back, pressing deeper into God's love, which in turn deepens our love for one another 
 
“As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love. If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love. These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.” 
John 15:9-11

The Power of Being Together

The world is full of people eager to broadcast their opinions. However, the church must distinguish itself by earnestly acknowledging that God's thoughts are not our thoughts. Instead of fighting over what God said, we should focus on upholding and defending His words. 
 
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
