Identity and Affirmation (Luke 3:21-23 and 4:1-13)

Elisha's story is coming to an end. He's been silent for more than 43 years from the time that Jehu became king. Jehoash, grandson of Jehu is now king over Israel. Before Elisha departs he offers one final prophecy. In this story of victory and resurrection we think about the grace of God, lukewarm Christianity, legacy, and the ultimate victory.
