This video is STUDYING HEBREWS CHAPTER 6 and especially Hebrews 6:6 in its PROPER CONTEXT! This verse is so misunderstood and many dread it to the point of being troubled and anxious and even fearful!

The verse (the entirety of Hebrews 6:4-6) reads...

HEBREWS 6:4 "For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame."

This fear is based on wrong context and very wrong understanding and application of the verses in the Book of Hebrews. Many are TEACHING that it means IF a person FALLS AWAY or stops believing in Jesus they LOSE SALVATION and ONCE IT IS LOST, THEY CAN NEVER GET RE-SAVED because if God resaved them, it would be Jesus dying a second time. THIS IS HORRIBLY WRONG. The actual chapter SHOULD ENCOURAGE YOU AND GIVE YOU ETERNAL SECURITY NOT MAKE YOU FEAR "ONCE LOST ALWAYS LOST" (OLAL)? We will look at to what this verse refers, as well as WHAT THIS VERSE IS NOT SAYING. I pray this gives you encouragement and helps you "grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ".
