An exegetical teaching on the book of 1st John by Zack Rosiere. In lesson 5 we study 1 John 1:6-7. John begins contrasting between the Light and the darkness and uses the Light to expose the darkness. In this lesson we take a look at the Gnostics, those wolves in sheep's clothing that John was writing about who were infiltrating the church and swaying many Christians away from the Truth.
John gives us 3 proofs of those who are in fellowship with Jesus. 1) those who walk in the Light as He is in the Light (and not in darkness) 2) we love the brethren and have fellowship with them and 3) the blood of Jesus is continually cleansing us from all sin.
Today we focus on the first proof, walking in the Light as He is in the Light
