* Call to Worship: Psalm 89:1-2
“I will sing of the steadfast love of the LORD, forever; with my mouth I will make known your faithfulness to all generations. For I said, ‘Steadfast love will be built up forever; in the heavens you will establish your faithfulness.’”

*Hymn of Praise: “How Firm a Foundation” #94

*Prayer of Adoration and The Lord’s Prayer

Call to Confession: 1 John 8-9
“If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

Prayer of Confession:
Holy Father, we confess that you are merciful and gracious towards those upon whom you have set your affection. We are undeserving of your steadfast love, for we have failed to love you with all of our being, and have not even loved our neighbor as ourselves. Lord, our lives are marked by unfaithfulness, and so we call upon you who is faithful to forgive us our many sins. Our sins justly deserve your wrath and punishment, yet because of your great love for us, your Son and our dear Savior took them upon himself, nailing them to a cross, that we might be assured that your do not count our iniquities against us. O God, help us to walk in a manner worthy of calling to which you have called us in Christ Jesus, in the newness of life which you have given. In Jesus name. Amen.

Assurance of Pardon: Psalm 86:15
“But you, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.”
