Notice that these verses are addressed to husbands. Husbands, these verses are especially for you. Single men, what Paul says to the husbands is what you should start working and prepare yourself for when you enter a marriage relationship. So, these verses apply to all men. And we get our cue from Jesus. We don’t look to any other relationship gurus out there. We look to Jesus and we learn from Jesus. He is our role model. The way Christ loves his church ought to be a picture of how our relationship looks like with our wives.
