Hymn “The Son of God Goes Forth To War” Cantus 282

Passage of Confession Psalm 119:36-37
Incline my heart to Your testimonies, and not to selfish gain! Turn my eyes from looking at worthless things; and give me life in Your ways.

Personal Silent Prayer of Confession (kneel)
Corporate Prayer of Confession (All Together):
God of everlasting love, we confess that we have been unfaithful to our covenant with You and with one another. We have worshiped other gods: money, power, greed, and convenience. We have served our own self-interest instead of serving only you and your people. We have not loved You wholeheartedly, nor have we loved our neighbor as ourselves. Forgive us, gracious God, and bring us back into the fullness of our covenant with you and one another. Through Christ, our Lord, Amen.

Assurance of Pardon Colossians 2:13-15
And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with Him, having forgiven all our trespasses, by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This He set aside, nailing it to the cross. He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in Him.
Pastor: Our sins are forgiven through Christ.
Congregation: Thanks be to God!

Hymn “Let Israel Now Say In Thankfulness” PS. 124 Cantus 162

The Apostles’ Creed AD Second Century
Pastor: Christian, what do you believe?
I believe in God the Father Almighty; Maker of heaven and earth.
And in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord;
Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hell.
The third day He rose again from the dead, He ascended into Heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Ghost, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
