Giving Sight and Hearing!
Matthew 13:10-17
Christ came to fulfill prophecy and even the way He was teaching was accomplishing Isaiah 6:9-13. Christ taught in parable so that people would have to think through and understand what He was trying to tell them (Matt 13:13). He wanted them to see and hear spiritually which would help them to see and hear their way both here on earth and the way to the kingdom of heaven (Matt 13:10). It was also by seeing and hearing they would receive an abundance from Him (Matt 13:12.) But many religious and many other people would not see and hear (Matt 13:14-15) and because of that they would lose all. (Matt 13:12, Matt 7:24-29). Disciple Principle: Though seeing and hearing the truth of Christ becomes the road that leads us into deeper healing for our body, soul, and spirit. Remember: Christ wants us to draw near to him both through sight and through hearing and as we do, we will be blessed (Matt 13:16, James 4:8).
