Romans 8:3 states that God sent “His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh as an offering for sin …” The text states that the Son was sent “in the likeness of sinful flesh.” In other words, the Son was sent “in the flesh.” There is nothing in the text to suggest that an alleged “Heavenly Son” was sent (from heaven to earth) in the flesh!
