How did Jesus know who he was and what he was called to do When he was born when he took on human flesh he laid aside his omniscience He didn't lie in that manger going "Well you know I can see I've got a big thing to fulfil." He didn't know anything when he was born and he learned who he was and what his role was in the same way that all of us do through the witness of the Holy Spirit through the words of others like his mother perhaps telling him what went on when he was born but most of all through this book Old Testament obviously through the word of God.
