What does the Bible say about money? In Luke 6: 38 Jesus gives us a secret on how God views money. There are several places in the Bible that talk about money, wealth, and poverty. Here in Luke 6: 28 though we are given instructions on what we are to do with the money and wealth God has already given us and what we need to do to continue to receive God's blessings. God wants to bless us, even with things like wealth and money, but he gives to us according to how we give to Him and others.
So the key to understanding God and money is quite clear here in Luke 6: 38. In the Bible there are several lessons about how to manage money and finances ("the borrower is slave to the lender"), but in Luke 6: 38 we're given implicit instructions on how to receive more. Give. The more we give the more we will receive. So the trick to being blessed by God, in this case with wealth and money, give some of what you already have. The more you give the more you will receive. "The amount you give will determine the amount you get back."
Luke 6:37-38 New Living Translation (NLT)
Do Not Judge Others
37 “Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn others, or it will all come back against you. Forgive others, and you will be forgiven. 38 Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.[a]”
