WE APOLOGIZE THAT THE SERMON WAS CUT OFF PRIOR TO ITS CONCLUSION. BELOW WE PROVIDED THE TRANSCRIPT OF THE MISSING PART:

They brought gifts that were fit for a king: gold, frankincense and myrrh. Gold is a precious metal. Frankincense is a perfume. And myrrh is an oil for anointing. So, think about it. The Wise Men brought oil and spices to anoint the body of Jesus Christ when he was born.

Who remembers what the women brought to the tomb after Jesus had been crucified? Mark 16:1-3 When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices so that they might go to anoint Jesus' body. 2 Very early on the first day of the week, just after sunrise, they were on their way to the tomb 3 and they asked each other, "Who will roll the stone away from the entrance of the tomb?"

What did the Wise Men bring Jesus when we he was born? They brought spices and perfumes to anoint his body in his birth. And what did the Wise Women bring when Jesus died? They brought spices and perfumes to anoint his body in his death. Remember that last Sunday we learned that you can’t talk about His birth without talking about His Death.

Remember that list of Old Testament saints who built an altar to God and presented an offering to God? One thing that is interesting as you compare the Old Testament and the New Testament is that everyone in the Old Testament is building an altar to God and offering God an animal sacrifice. But when you get to the New Testament, nobody is building an altar and offering an animal sacrifice to God anymore. Why is that? In the New Testament, God is the one who builds the altar for us & God is the one who offers his Son for us.

And now the question is how should you & I respond to this reality? 12.1-Rom.12.2" class="scriptRef">Romans 12:1-2 1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God-- this is your spiritual act of worship. 2 Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is-- his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Don’t limit worship to an hour. Instead, expand it to a lifetime! Every single moment of our lives is lived before the face of God. Every single moment we can worship God with Great joy & Great humility. And why should we do this? Remember that list of Old Testament Saints? Each one of them built that altar as a response to something God had done for them. Now look again in Romans 12:1 why we offer our lives as a living sacrifice to God: 1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God-- this is your spiritual act of worship. God is teaching us that in view of God’s mercy in Christ’s birth & in his Death, the only way we should respond is by giving ourselves to the one who have himself for us.
