I do not know that Mary had heard and believed that Jesus would die. But
• Certainly Jesus knows and
• Certainly God the Father knows and
If nothing else the Heavenly Father moved upon her heart to minister to His only begotten Son in a huge way just before His trials began.

I. THE ACT COMMITTED BY THIS WOMAN
A. Her motives were unselfish
B. Her gift was inestimable
C. Her sacrifice would have changed her life

II. THE REACTION OF THE DISCIPLES
A. An attitude of disbelief
B. “This was waste”
C. “We could have used the money to help people”
D. I imagine there was conviction that they were not so willing to give

III. THE RESPONSE OF THE SAVIOUR
A. Jesus was pleased
B. What else matters?
