New Year's resolutions can sometimes be not believed at, because as one overused adage says, "promises are made to be broken." The fact is that without Jesus Christ, hope for
permanent change is an unattainable goal.

Charles Colson tells of a frustrated prison psychiatrist who exclaimed, "I can cure a person's madness, but not his badness."

This teaches us that man cannot change even if he were to make a New Year's resolution. The only way to make bad people good is to expose them to the Gospel.
