In this week's lesson, God gives instructions to Moses for Aaron and his sons on how to handle the sacrificial offerings.
Aaron, the High Priest, and his descendants must not make themselves ceremonially unclean, not shave their heads and beards, nor bring shame to God’s holy name. They must remain holy to come into the presence of a Holy God.
In addition, the sacrifices offered by the people for a peace offering had to be a male animal without blemishes. Furthermore, God demands that His name be hallowed and He desired to hallow Israel.
