Isaiah Chapter 56. I am not going to re-read verses 1-8. In a moment , I will begin in verse 9 and read through Chapter 57 verse 13. It is a kind of complex passage. And as I mentioned last time, it is hard to know exactly to whom Isaiah is speaking--that is, what time in Israel's story. So I thought rather than go through the passage in any kind of detail, I am using it as a jumping off point to make a couple of broader points about the very idea of leadership, Christian leadership, the ministry, and so forth.
