Psalm 88:12 Shall thy wonders be known in the dark? and thy righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?

God, through Moses, smote Egypt with his wonders and only after doing so did the people go free (Exo 3:20). This was a shadow of what God, in Christ, was going to do to free all his people from spiritual Egypt (bondage to sin and death) and its Pharoah (the devil).

The wonders preceded freedom. The wonders made the freedom possible. The wonder of Christ being raised from the dead, precedes our freedom. His death, burial and ressurection, made our death (old man), burial (baptism) and ressurection (new life) possible.

Thank you Lord for revealing the wonder of Christ to us, even while we were in darkness, in the land of forgetfulness, you have shown your love and faithfulness in doing so.
