Psalm 89:37 It shall be established for ever as the moon, and as a faithful witness in heaven. Selah.

The throne of David, a prophetic reference to the throne of Christ (verse 36), is what will be established forever. And God compares the establishment of his throne to the sun (verse 36) and moon. Why?

Genesis 37:9-10 reveals that the sun and moon has a husband (sun) and wife (moon) relationship. Psalm 84:12, Mal 4:2 & Matt 17:2 reveals that God i.e. Jesus, is the Sun (husband) and Rev 21:2 reveals that his people is his moon (bride).

Now consider this, the woman is the glory of the man (1 Cor 11:7) ... therefore, the moon (the bride) is the faithful witness unto the Sun (Jesus). From the very beginning, God said that "the lesser light will rule the night" and that the moon was (along with sun and stars) was set in the heaven TO GIVE LIGHT UPON THE EARTH. In/through Jesus, we are prepared as a bride adorn for her husband, where our husband is, there will we be also and he is in heavenly places, so he has raised us up to be there with him. A big part of our role while there is TO GIVE LIGHT UPON THE EARTH.

If we don't shine his light in the earth, then how can those who are lost in darkness find him? Let's be the faithful, heavenly dwelling witness that he calls us to be. Let's be the Proverbs 31 bride. Selah!
