  JOHN CHAPTER 18 (continued):
Verse 37… Pilate asks Jesus again if He is a King, and Jesus responds, ‘You say that I am a king.  To this end was I born, and for this reason I came into the world.
Isaiah 55:3-4… 1st Timothy 6:13… Revelation 19:11-16…
          Verse 38… After Jesus tells Pilate the truth, Pilate asks ‘What is truth’? After that Pilate tells the Jews he finds no fault in Jesus.
John 8:31-32… John 14:6… 1st John 4:6…        
Verse 39… Pilate asks the people if they want him to release unto them the ‘King of the Jews’.
Proverbs 25:19…
          Verse 40… The people ask for Barabbas (a convicted murderer) to be released, but not Jesus!

JOHN CHAPTER 19
          Verse 1… Pilate took Jesus and scourged Him.
Isaiah 50:5-6… Isaiah 53:5… Matthew 20:17-19… Matthew 27:24-26...
          Verses 2-3… The soldiers mock Jesus with a crown of thorns and a purple robe.  Then they smite Him with their hands.
Matthew 26:67-68… Luke 22:63-65…  Psalm 35:15-17…
          Verse 4-5… Pilate thought the scourging of Jesus would satisfy the crowd.  It did not!
Isaiah 5:20-25… Psalm 34:21… Proverbs 4:19…
          Verse 6… The Jews demand from Pilate…. “Crucify Him!”
Psalm 37:32… Proverbs 6:16-18…  Acts 3:13-15…
