This devotional series is called You Pick It because I am going to share a passage with you and I want you to tell me what jumps out to you. I’ll share what verse jumps out to me, but I want to know what jumps out to you too. Today I read from Psalm 145:1-5.

From the beginning of this passage, David recognizes that God is his God and King. Even though David was a king, he knew there was a King great than him, the King of Glory.

We like to pretend that we are good, but we are not good. God is the only one who is good. He has compassion upon us when we don’t deserve it. This passage reminds me to build a foundation of praising God. We will never exhaust the greatness of God, so He is worthy to be praised.

It is tempting to get discouraged in this world. Life can be overwhelming. But God does not change. He is constant. I may not understand why some things happen, but I know that God is working all things for His glory and our good (Romans 8:28). I feel confident resting in that.

How about you? What verse from Psalm 145:1-5 stands out to you today? Let me know.

Thanks for watching!
