This is a short discussion of the Firmament (Raqia) of Genesis 1:1-8 and the various explanations of the "Heavenly Waters." Are those waters "clouds" as Sailhamer argued? Is the Raqia a solid dome from ancient near-eastern mythology? How does Genesis 1:6-8 fit with a whole Bible, Biblical Theology?
