God in this lesson speaks through the prophet Amos, to let Israel know that He is not accepting their worship. Israel was looking for the day of the Lord to come, they was hoping God would judge the other nations or even their enemies. 
 
Amos spoke to the House of Israel and told them that The Lord says He hate, and despise their feast days, and will not smell in their solemn assemblies. Problem is, That was their form of worship, of which the Lord no longer accepts. He want His people to do Justice in the land

God is the same yesterday, today & forever. If that is true, then what His heart cares about is still the same. God cares for the people He created so much so that the church, His bride is called to be His light, His hands and feet to the broken, lost, poor and needy out there. 
 
To truly be children of God, it is to love the Lord and His people. Here in this video, we look at how God confronts His own people about how they give so much to Him but at the expense of the needs of the people around them. God is just and righteous, so should His church be just and righteous.

Amos seorang peternak domba dan bukan orang terpandang, tetapi Tuhan pakai dan Tuhan perintahkan pergi ke Yerusalem untuk melakukan TIME OUT terhadap Bait Allah. Kenapa harus di Time Out? karena di dalam Bait Allah mereka telah melakukan banyak DOSA. Apa-apa yang dilakukan didalam Bait Allah tidak berkenan di hadapan Tuhan. Korelasi dengan kondisi saat ini, kita sedang di Time Out oleh Tuhan. Tidak ada ibadah besar-besaran ataupun ibadah raya karena pandemi Covid19. Kondisi ini persis seperti yang dilakukan Amos pada rumah Tuhan waktu itu. Gereja harus evaluasi dan kembali kepada kebenaran.

Karena dosa bangsa Israel, maka Tuhan mengutus Amos, nabi kecil dari desa Tekoa.
