Lord Jesus, I come to You today to admit that there are sins that are taking over my life. These sins have been controlling me, causing my personal relationship with You. Please forgive me. I am sorry that these ungodly things and people easily influence me. I am constantly and wrongly influenced by some friends or people that I follow on social media, or sometimes from the things that I watch and read on the internet. Forgive me for not choosing to glorify You.
I have been stubborn, Lord. I’ve been struggling with this problem because I am too selfish to spend time with You. But I thank You that You love me enough to remind me that there is always redemption and restoration in Your name. Thank You so much that you care for me more than I will ever know. Thank You for reminding me that I need to spend more time with You and people who will be Godly influences in my life.
God, I pray that You will open my heart as I continue to speak to You. Help me develop the kind of heart that wants to be so immersed in Your Word that there is no room left for ungodly influences. Help me change my wrong perspectives, and remind me to hold on to Your promises. Teach me always to embrace Your will so that I will not engage in the lust of the world and flesh. Help me flee from all kinds of temptations.
Lord Jesus, thank You that even if I don’t deserve anything, You still provide me with everything. Please renew my stubborn heart that instead of spending time with the ungodly, I shall long to be with spiritual friends and family who will help me be more like You. I desperately need Your hand in my life so that I can live a life that is pleasing to You.
I love you, God. Thank You for Your forgiveness and grace. I entrust my life to You. I worship and honor You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
