Matthew 6:12 And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
When we read this verse, we should think about our life, whether we are still hating someone, whether we do not forgive someone yet. We need to let it go, forgive and love him whom we hated in the past. We need to have the heart of going with them two miles(Matthew 5:41). These kinds of people can be the true disciples of Jesus Christ, and will become the true sons of God.
There are many laws in the old testament and new laws in the new testament. Law is good and helps to build the world of justice. But this is not all, now Jesus was teaching the new laws here, we need to know the world of grace, and know the heart of the father God. He forgave our sins for free, so we need also to forgive others without conditions.
In the world, we know life is difficult if we have many debts. In the same way, if we don’t solve the spiritual debts from sins, life is very difficult. There will be many serious results from sin step by step. Through the salvation of Jesus Christ, we entered the world without debts of sins, Jesus has paid it all. We need to share the gospel with others, not just use our month, but with our life, forgive our debtors.
