God was pleased with the male and female He created. He said, “it was very good.” The first image of man created by God was pleasing to Him. However, we see many times that human beings are far from the image that God made them in. The sinfulness of mankind gives Him deep pain and sorrow. We must go closer His Word to return to the life that pleases God.  I encourage you to meditate on the following verses and live the life that pleases God.

But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.    – Hebrews 13:16 (NIV)

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.    – Hebrews 11:6 (NIV)

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.    – Romans 12:2 (NIV)

Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God.    – Romans 8:8 (NIV)

For I desire mercy, not sacrifice, and acknowledgment of God rather than burnt offerings.    – Hosea 6:6 (NIV)

On the contrary, we speak as those approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel. We are not trying to please people but God, who tests our hearts.    – 1 Thessalonians 2:4 (NIV)

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) and find out what pleases the Lord.    – Ephesians 5:8-10 (NIV)

So we make it our goal to please him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it.    – 2 Corinthians 5:9 (NIV)

I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior,    – 1 Timothy 2:1-3 (NIV)

Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.    – Galatians 1:10 (NIV)

You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it; you do not take pleasure in burnt offerings. My sacrifice, O God, is[a] a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise.    – Psalm 51:16-17 (NIV)

For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, 18 because anyone who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and receives human approval.    – Romans 14:17-18 (NIV)

I will praise God’s name in song and glorify him with thanksgiving. This will please the Lord more than an ox, more than a bull with its horns and hooves.    – Psalm 69:30-31 (NIV)

I have received full payment and have more than enough. I am amply supplied, now that I have received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent. They are a fragrant offering, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God.    – Philippians 4:18 (NIV)

The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him;Psalm 37:23 (NIV)

When the Lord takes pleasure in anyone’s way, he causes their enemies to make peace with them.    – Proverbs 16:7 (NIV)

Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, 21 equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.    – Hebrews 13:20-21 (NIV)

May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.    – Psalm 19:14 (NIV)
