And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together. Reader! it is no interesting question, though perhaps not easily answered; did Abraham really know, that God had already provided a Lamb for a burnt-offering; even the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world?
