Jacob and His Family Tribe Arrive and Settle in Egypt (Genesis 46:28 to Genesis 47:12 ) Genesis 46:28 ‘And he sent Judah before him to Joseph to show the way before him in Goshen, and they came into the land of Goshen.’ Jacob sent Judah ahead to ask Joseph to meet him to show them where they should settle in Goshen. Judah is now clearly seen as the leader of the brothers. The LXX here has ‘to appear before him’ which requires two further letters in the Hebrew, but it also gives the name of a... read more
