8. Exhorteth As the teacher explained facts and truths for the memory, so the exhorter, on the same grade below the prophet, was the emotional stirrer of the heart. Undoubtedly the prophet, and even above him the apostle, could and often did both teach and exhort, (1 Timothy 6:2; Titus 2:15.)
