Introduction
Jonah, sent to Nineveh, flees to Tarshish, Jonah 1:1-3 . He is overtaken by a great tempest, Jonah 1:4-14 ; thrown into the sea, Jonah 1:15 , Jonah 1:16 ; and swallowed by a fish, in the belly of which he is miraculously preserved alive three days and three nights, Jonah 1:17 .
