Verse 6
"For they have made ready their heart like an oven, while they lie in wait: their baker sleepeth all night; in the morning, it burneth as a flaming fire."
The fires of their evil passions never went out. When not actually engaged in the commission of some crime, they were still like a smoldering oven, ready to flame into action at the slightest provocation. A number of modern commentators find a direct reference here to a specific intrigue leading to the overthrow of one of the various murdered kings of that period; but this does not appear certain.
