Exodus 12:6

Exo 12:6 And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.

In the evening. ] Christ came in the evening of the world; Heb 1:2 in "the last hour" ( εσχατη ωρα , 1Jn 2:11 ); when all lay buried in darkness; in the eventide of our sin and death.
