Judges 18:16

Jdg 18:16 And the six hundred men appointed with their weapons of war, which [were] of the children of Dan, stood by the entering of the gate.

Ver. 16. Stood by the entering of the gate. ] To aid the thieves, if there should be any opposition made against them. So that here met those two ways of theft mentioned by Nazianzen, επιβουλη , or crafty contrivance, and επιβολη , rapine and violence.
