Luke 5:2

2 And saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing their nets.

Ver. 2. Were washing their nets ] Though they laboured last night, and had taken nothing. Ferendum et sperandum. Hope beguiles calamity, as good company doth the way.
