21 And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias? And he saith, I am not. Art thou that prophet? And he answered, No.

Ver. 21. Art thou Elias? And he saith, I am not ] sc. That Elias that you imagine, Elias the Tishbite, by a transanimation ( μετεμψυχωσις Pythagorica).
