Ephesians 2:16

16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:

Ver. 16. In one body ] Ubi igitur Separatistae? Therefore, where are the separatists? saith one. All other sins destroy the Church consequentially; but division and separation demolish it directly.

Having slain the enmity ] Not the ceremonies only, as Ephesians 2:15 , but sin, that great makebate (mischief-maker), that sets God at odds with his own creature.
